Ignacio Chanza is a dual qualified solicitor in Scottish and Spanish law. He has practised in Valencia, Spain as Senior Partner in his own legal firm since 1998 and qualified as a Scottish solicitor in 2012. He holds full practising certificates, both in Spain and in Scotland and also is empowered in Scotland to act as a Notary Public to notarise documents to have effect in Spain.

Ignacio’s own family firm in Valencia deals with all aspects of Spanish law. In addition, he now heads up the Spanish law department at James and George Collie being the only firm in Scotland to be able to provide this service. James and George Collie in their own right is a full service firm dealing with all aspects of Scottish law. Now they can provide as an additional facility with expert advice on all aspects of Spanish law, including purchase, sale, all other aspects of property law, preparation of Spanish wills and powers of attorney, obtaining of NIE Spanish registration requirements and also with all aspects of Spanish contract and company law and the provision of dual nationality certificates and opinions.

Ignacio has also been appointed by the Spanish government as Honorary Consul of Spain for the North of Scotland and is also an advocate in Aberdeen as a member of the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen.
